Dr. Yehia Ismael Halboush claimed that Dr. Abdel Mo’ti Bayoumi judges by double standards as he criticized Dr. Said Al-Qimni for what he wrote about the Qur’an but did not do the same with Hassan Hanifi. Dr. Bayoumi refuted this claim. He said that Habloush’s judgment of Hanfi might have lacked either honesty in quoting or fairness in judgment or accuracy in understanding. That was why he arrived at the conclusion that Bayoumi judged Hanfi’s opinions with different measures.
