According to the author, Pope Shenouda avoided speaking about politics and is sufficed with discussing the questions of the attendants in his weekly lecture.
During his last weekly lecture, Pope Shenouda III received His Beatitude Archbishop Chrysostomos II, the Archbishop of Cyprus, who showed interest in attending the entire speech. It was noted that the pope avoided talking about politics in neither a direct nor an indirect manner.
During the lecture, the pope answered the questions fielded by his audience. Most questions sought advice from the pope and some were about personal matters, while others inquired about Christian beliefs.
It is worth mentioning that security at the Cathedral in al-‘Abbāsīyah prevented some reporters, despite the fact that they had shown their identities, from accessing the lecture because they were Muslims.
