Article full text:
The bishopric of Dayr Mawwās and Diljā cancelled the celebration of the Christmas Eve in all the churches of the bishopric following a judgment by a Mallawī court against seven Copts, among them two priests, who were sentenced to prison for a week with a fine of LE 200. These incidents were a result of a dispute between the bishopric and a Christian family over buying half a house.
A church source stated that the cancellation of celebrations did not imply the rejection of the judgment as well as it not representing a form of pressure on any state institution, but rather a kind of emotional solidarity with those jailed.
