The Somalian al-Salām party has joined forces with al-Shabāb al-Mujāhidīn to create a new jihād network.

The Somalian government is disregarding the threats triggered by the new network.

The goal of the union is to create an Islamic caliphate and continue a jihād against Christian crusaders, in addition to supporting the weak Muslims on earth.

The first results of the union were seen in the capture of the town of Hrādīrī, one of the most important Somalian pirate strongholds. Al-Shabāb al-Mujāhidīn further threatened to attack Uganda and Burundi.

Meanwhile, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania are on alert after an Al-Shabāb-attributed bombing on December 21 at a bus station in Nairobi.
