Al-Bāz discusses the increasing number of Christian converts to Islam in Egypt. He presents the church’s opinion and provides numbers, although their authenticity has been called into question.

Shīrīn Rabī‘ reviews a book entitled, ’Anbā Maximus wa-Rū’yah Jadīdah li-al-Islāh’ [Bishop Maximus and a new Vision of Reform], believing that the book opens fire on Pope Shenouda and refutes his thoughts.

The author reviews a new book entitled, ’ The Churches of Egypt. From the Journey of the Holy Family to the Present Day’ which includes Christian sites from all over Egypt.

Drs. Hulsman’s report discusses the state of past and present relations between Muslims and Christians in Egypt. The paper opens by giving information about Pope Shenouda III and the most important incidents that have taken place during his reign. The second half of the paper then looks at specific examples of Christian contributions to Christian-Muslim tensions in contemporary Egypt.
