Haytham talks about the great number of fitnah tā’ifīyah issues occurring everyday. He criticizes the church’s silence about Bishop Bīshūy’s recent comments and its failure to issue an apology to date. Islamic Research Academy member Dr. Muhammad ‘Umārah said that Bīshūy’s comments not only reflect his personal point of view, but also that of the church. He also claims that Pope Shenouda III used to be a member of an organization who believed that Arab Muslims are invaders of a Coptic Egypt.

Saqr follows up his article from last January where he warned against shaykhs and priests who are set out to cause fitnah tā’ifīyah. In this article he asks, since all mosques are under state control, why isn’t the church? He also criticizes the way the state cautiously deals with the church, as if it were a foreign entity.

The Committee of the Azhar for the Dialogue with Monotheistic Religions has been in existence for twenty years now. But that did not stop the Grand Mufti, Ahmed Al-Tayyeb, from deciding to dissolve it due to "infeasibility" at a time when it is most needed. Many Azhar figures expressed their disagreement with Al-Tayyeb's decision and said he should have instead updated the committee instead of getting rid it all together.
