The article talks about the refusal of the church to receive the subpoena sent by the prosecution in the Kāmīliyā Shihātah case, and wonders since Virgin Mary appeared in churches then why can't Kāmīliyā appear in front of the prosecution to say whether she is Christian or Muslim.

On the other hand, 'Abd al-Fatāh 'Abd al-Mun'im wrote an opinion article about Kāmilīya between the embrace of salafists and the church's hold.

He added that the church has no right in refusing the summon order.

On the other hand, salafists have no right, either, to attack churches unless Kāmīliyā appear.

In Rose al-Yūsuf, May 1, 2011, the prosecution summoned Kāmīliyā. Coptic Orthodox Pope Shenouda III rejected Coptic protests.

Dr. Ahmad al-Tayīb, Grand Shaykh of the Azhar, said that Egypt couldn't follow the Salafist call asserting that Islam is based on peace and forgiveness.

This came during the visit of al-Tayīb with Coptic Pope Shenouda III to greet him on the occasion of the resurrection feast.

In al-Yawm al-Sābi', April 19, 2011 and al-Akhbār, page 10, April 20, 2011, it was mentioned that each of al-Tayīb, 'Abd Allah al-Husaynī, minister of awqaf [endowments], and Hamdī Zaqzūq, former minister of awqaf, greeted the Pope for the feast.

Sources have noted that Coptic Pope Shenouda III began writing his diaries prior to his health trip to the U.S.

His diaries will tackle a lot of sensitive issues from the times of former President 'Anwar al-Sadāt's rule, but it is still speculations whether his diaries will include the former regime of Husnī Mubārak or not!

On Wednesday April 13, the Muslim Brotherhood Murshid (Guide) Muhammad Badī’ announced that the MB would be capable of winning 75 percent of seats in Egypt’s upcoming parliamentary elections.

He stressed that the MB would nevertheless contain itself, competing for no more than a third of parliamentary seats.

The Students Union (SU) elections in Beni Suef University witnessed a poor turnout by students despite hectic attempts by the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group to garner as many votes as they can.

The MB had included Copts and female students on their lists for the first time.

Churches' lands have become the cause of many problems between governors and bishops in Egypt, the crisis between governor of al-Minia and the bishop of Mghāghah is an explicit proof of that.
