Lo! We did reveal the Torah, wherein is guidance and a ... (Sura 5:44)

Lo! We did reveal the Torah, wherein is guidance and a light, by which the prophets who surrendered (unto Allah) judged the Jews, and the rabbis and the priests (judged) by such of Allah's Scripture as they were hidden to observe, and thereunto were they witnesses. So fear not mankind, but fear Me. And barter not My revelations for a little gain. Whoso judgeth not by that which Allah hath revealed: such are disbelievers.

Summary
Article summary:

Revealed scriptures speak about the light that gives man life and spirit. Even un-revealed religions like Buddhism speak about light enlightenment. Everyone should try to arrive at a state of enlightenment in order not to be trapped in a state of kufrania, i.e. the denying the need for enlightenment. If Kufrania prevailed religion and faith would be nothing but appearances.

Summary
Article summary:

Reforming the religious discourse is a must. Reforming Islamic jurisprudence requires interpretation based on reason not the text, and modernization not traditional ways, so that jurisprudents and Islamic scholars can find in Islam new rules and modern principles to motivate the reason and inspire creativity. Muslims should differentiate between shari’a and fiqh. Then, they would clearly find out that a lot of what they consider to be God’s rules are only jurisprudents’ views and visions.

Summary
Article summary:

Associating religion with a certain regime or institution wrongs religion and turns it into a mere temporary and worldly formula that stops at personal conflicts and financial interests. True religion does not focus on establishing regimes but cares in the first place about planting the true faith in the hearts of people.
