In a new and dangerous development, a group of veiled women wearing face covers (monqabat)4 distribute audio tapes in the women’s section of the metro in generous quantities. This happens in great confidence. A woman starts by playing a small recorder as soon as she enters the car so that the women will listen to the tape that says "Muslims should be ready for the confrontation with the Christians before the Christians attack us and we return once again to the era of darkness, ignorance and obscenity". This may be the most lenient of the tape’s contents. This free distribution amounts to a new twist in the rally of the destroyers.

One such tape was distributed was at 11 o’clock of last Sunday night. A monaqaba, who claims her name is Alya, says that she is a student in the faculty of science in Al-Azhar university and that she lives in the economical housing project in Helwan, entered the metro. She claimed that holy inspiration demanded of her that she buy all these tapes and distribute them for free. What was strange is that she gave out the tape to all the women present and still had more to distribute in other cars in the absence of the security forces.

The tape is entitled, "secrets from within the church" and warnings were given out about its danger previously. Instead of finalizing the matter the public were surprised to see it distributed in this way. She used to raise her voice saying "You were right prophet of God when you said ’the first judgment between people will be by blood’’ which is a statement written on the cover of the tape. The speaker in the tape pretends that he was ’the head of a church’ and that he converted to Islam after suffering a lot like he claims. In an attempt to play on the feelings of the people he claims says "I am the one who organized the incidents of Al-Zawia Al-Hamra in the beginning of the 80s.

Al-Ahaly’s comment by Dr. Rifaat Al-Said:

I do not think that I need to comment on this crime that is being committed publicly and continuously without any interference from those who talk -tirelessly about enhancing our national unity and about one fabric and one nation.

I do not think that this action that is committed publicly in the metro stations, which is under complete security, was done in the absence of the security personal which are painfully awake for everyone except those cases.

Let us try and distribute any printed paper in the underground. In this case a thousand fangs and eyes and chains will appear. So why does this crime pass undetected as if it is normal and as if sabotaging the national unity does not concern the security force and does not threaten security.

As for the second question. Who finances this crime? Recording thousands of tapes requires thousands of thousands of pounds. So who is the real criminal behind this crime. Who pays all this money to destroy our national unity. If the security forces move to arrest those who distribute the tapes this will inevitably lead us to the hands behind this disgraceful deed. Therefore the truth about those who aim at destroying us will become known. Consider this a complaint against all those who faced this crime with silence and ignoring.
