Article full text:

The Lebanese people were lately astonished by a new innovation. A group of foreigners are walking in the streets of Lebanon wearing jackets written on them "We apologize" in English and Arabic. They are apologizing for the mistakes of the Crusades. We discovered that this group is just a part of other groups that will visit Lebanon during the following six months. The people responsible for this campaign say that its aim is to apologize for the mistakes of the Crusades before the coming of the year 2,000.

There are a lot of questions concerning the members of this campaign and the organizations supporting them. There is some concern that the Western churches that support them have missionary aims because they are concentrating their efforts on the non-Christians, people of the Orthodox religion and the Evangelical religion. Although they are very polite and they are ready to talk with anybody, they are not ready to talk about the financing of these campaigns that started in Turkey. This campaign started from Germany, and then [went on to] Turkey and Lebanon, and it will end in Palestine in April 1999.
