Pope Shenouda commented that the problem of the Coptic Waqf is beginning to diminish after the church had regained its authority over 756 feddans from the Islamic Waqf System. Concerning the problems facing Copts in Egypt, he declared his rejection of any foreign interference in Egyptian domestic affairs. He also declared his approval of the progress that has been made in repairing old churches.

As for the conversion of the Christian girls to Islam by force, Pope Shenouda mainly explained this as being due to their relationships with Muslim men whom they are willing to marry. This is due to the fact that Islam permits the marriage of a Muslim man with a Christian woman.

Concerning the claims that are raised by the emigrant Copts, he pointed out that due to their large numbers, some of them have requests that should be discussed in order not to let their influence spread among the other emigrant Copts.

Finally, he rejected what is said by the emigrant Copts against President Mubarak and he asked them to receive the President warmly in Washington.
