Architect Hussein Sabbour announced on 18 October that he would file suit against the Islamist newspaper Al Shaab which accused him of improprieties involving a pieced of real estate in northern Cairo. Sabbour, a colleague of Minister of Agriculture Youssef Wali, was attacked as part of Al Shaab’s campaign against the minister. Wali successfully sued, as a result of which Shaab editor Magdy Hussein and three other journalist were ordered jailed.
