Ahmed Abdel-Aziz Bakr, the governor of Sohag, declared that a subsidiary [bank] account will be opened in order to receive donations for fixing the damages that occurred during the latest incidents. Heshmat Abul-Khar, a member of the Consultative Council, donated 50 thousand pounds as also did the Christian businessman, Wadia Ghali Fikri.



The damages were evaluated as the following: 41 shops, a café, fruits and vegetables stalls, five houses, four cars in Al-Koshh, and 47 shops, a pharmacy, a library, and three houses in Dar Al-Salam City. It was also decided that a new preparatory school will be built in Al-Koshh instead of the current school which consists of 26 wooden classrooms.
