There are indications, which raise worry about the future of the national unity and the country itself.
Frankly speaking, there are some officials who are dealing with the disaster of Al-Kosheh in a way that raises worry and troubles too. First, they have been classifying people in Al-Kosheh into rich Copts and poor Muslims. Therefore, they refuse the suggestions of transferring the kiosks to another place. Second, some of the officials accused some of the Christian leaders before the investigations had finished. Third, we have heard a lot about the peacemaking committees, but we have not heard any official who spoke about the strict application of article 86, which punishes people who raise sectarian riots. In order to save our country and to stop worrying, we have to answer these questions:
Is the country ready to apply all the rights of citizenship?
Is the country ready to treat all people on equal terms in front of law?
Is the government ready to omit the religion box from the identification card?
Is the government ready to respond to all requests in order to fill the gaps that the foreigners are using in order to interfere in our internal affairs?
