The Brotherhood parliamentary members managed to pass a law during the last parliamentary term giving the graduates from Azhar high schools the right to join the police academy [Editor: and thus getting more students with an Islamic training in the now largely secular oriented police]. They are now preparing themselves for negotiations with the government to allow those graduates the join governmental universities.


The committee of Education and Scientific Research at the People’s Assembly will hold a meeting next week to discuss the request for information presented by Brotherhood member of parliament Mustafa Muhammad to the Minister of Higher Education Mofied Shehab concerning this matter.
