The Azhar takes over the responsibility of clarifying the true image of Islam and correcting misconceptions about it. The Azhar sends envoys to different countries world-wide in order to carry out the responsibility of preaching true Islam, which is why it chooses those envoys very carefully.


The Azhar advertises its need for preachers to work overseas, asking those who meet certain qualifications to apply for the job. Those who are eligible to apply for the job should have a 10 years experience in preaching at the Azhar, they should know the Qur’an by heart and be known for their good behavior. A preacher who applies for working overseas should abide by wearing the Azharite official uniform.


This year, five thousand preachers applied for the jobs, out of which eight hundred met the conditions. Out of the eight hundred, 388 preachers were chosen according to their experience and efficiency.
