A national unity iftār [fast-breaking meal during the Muslim holy month of Ramadān] was hosted by the inter-cultural dialogue department of the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services (CEOSS) http://www.ceoss.org.eg led by Nabīl Sāmu’īl Abādīr on October 10 (Ramadān 7, 1426 of the hijira calendar).



The banquet was attended by Minister of Awqāf [Endowments] Mahmoud Hamdī Zaqzouq and a host of intellectuals, university professors and Muslim and Christian religious leaders.



The awqāf ministry is to host an iftār banquet on October 16, which will be attended by top state officials: Pope Shenouda III, the Patriarch of the See of Saint Mark, heads of Christian denominations in Egypt and representatives of the accredited Arab and foreign diplomatic corps.
