An American author named Craig Winn has recently written a book called Muhammad, Prophet of Doom: Islam’s Terrorist Dogma In Muhammad’s Own Words, in which he flagrantly alleges that it was Satan who inspired Muhammad about the Qur’an. [http://www.prophetofdoom.net/]

Winn’s book is one of a number of books that sell like hot cakes all over the United States and they all consider Islam as a faith that orders its followers to destroy the U.S. civilization, turn the West into the system observed by Muslim societies, and impose its laws and power over it.

Winn’s, however, is perhaps the most insolent, hostile, and fact-twisting of them all. In his book, he violently insists that the Muslim Prophet was a terrorist, alleging that his book is detecting the early roots of terrorism in the “founder” of Islam, which subconsciously affected His followers and made them what they are today: enemies of America.

Winn, recognizing that he was writing for the American readers, who were totally in the dark about Islam before the September 11, 2001 incidents or anything outside the frontiers of their nation, played on the chords of the Western readers’ a priori conclusions and gave the impression that he has a deep understanding of Islam, even more than the Muslims themselves.

He was very adept in taking incidents and statements out of their historical, cultural, and social contexts. Many abroad admitted that it was hard to refute the author’s arguments because most Americans tend to have remarkable interest and ability in verbal duels and mudslinging, rather than attempt to understand or search for the truth.
