The Community Council [al-Majlis al-Millī] of the Diocese of Luxor and Armant Isnā held a commemoration service for the Egyptian family, which fell victim in the dreadful massacre that took place in Jersey City, the United States. The commemoration service was held at the Virgin Mary church. A number of Islamic and Christian leaders in addition to a huge crowd of Muslims and Copts of Luxor were keen to attend the service.
Information Counselor of the Dioceses, Nasr Wahbī, confirmed that the high attendance of the commemoration service has revealed the unity between the Muslims and Copts of Egypt. Wahbī added that the Community Council of the Diocese warns against playing with the card of sectarian strife, which some internal and external fanatics like to play with and that any attempt to stir a sectarian strife is doomed to failure as all the pervious attempts led by great powers and which aimed at tearing this nation apart.
