Article full text:

Pope Shenouda III expressed his desire to return to Cairo to continue his physical rehabilitation now that doctors at Cleveland Clinic in the United States have confirmed that the surgery he had on his thigh was successful. Bishop Armia, who is accompanying the pope, said that the pope received a telephone call from President Mubārak asking about his condition, which lifted his morale.
Secretary of the Holy Synod and the Bishop of Damietta Bishop Bīshūy said that there are two decrees at the Holy Synod for the Pope to sign upon his return. The first is to raise salaries of bishops, priests and church workers by 50 percent; the second is to activate the committee set up by President Mubārak to consider registering the uniform of Muslim and Christian men of religion, which the Holy Synod demanded to prevent unauthorized use.
