Article full text:
A taxi driver helped prevent 5 children from being abducted by a servant. Although the kidnapping has been established, the doctor for whom the servant worked closed the case with an apology to the children’s families. Al-Yawm al-Sābi‘ reports on the incident because it believes such things to be incredibly serious.

Shaymā’, Imān, Nadá, as well as Najwá and Islām—two sets of siblings—lived through the experience of being kidnapped. Imān, 11 years old, tells al-Yawm al-Sābi‘ the details of the incident: “I went out with my sisters, Najwá, and Islām to play in al-Firdaws garden in Asyut” Najwá continues, “After an hour, a woman talked to me and asked me to go with her to the zoo in Abū Tīj. After asking my sisters, we agreed to go with her.” Imān added that before they left, she told the woman that they would have to tell their mother. The woman offered her cell phone to make the phone call.

The woman asked Imān to go with her to the bathroom where she heard the woman talking to a man on the phone telling him that she got him five children and that she will take them to the Zoo. After flagging down and entering a taxi, the driver noticed the way the woman was speaking to the children and asked them whether or not she was their mother. The children responded in the negative and the taxi told the woman that he would not be able to make such a long journey and proceeded to drive them to the nearest bus stop.

Before the woman and the children were able to get onto the bus, a policeman approached the children and arrested the women after hearing after hearing that they did not know her; the taxi driver had reported the incident. Through investigation, al-Yawm al-Sābici discovered that Dr. “A” [Editor’s note: The article did not provide the full name], who owns a medical center, and who is the woman for whom the kidnapper worked, got a lawyer and reconciled the situation without suffering any blame.
