Dr. Mahmūd Hadī Zaqzūq asserted his rejection of any offense against Copts, elaborating that he will not permit anything to have a negative impact on national unity. He elaborated that Copts are partners in one homeland, and that respecting their doctrine and their right to a safe life is an important issue that should not be transgressed.
 
Zaqzūq elaborated that, in his meeting with the heads of the Religious Endowments Departments in the different governorates held in the head office of the Ministry of Endowments, he had explained to some “hidden hands” who tamper with Egypt’s stability and security through stirring sectarian conflicts between Muslims and Copts.
 
Dr. Zaqzūq warned the head of the Endowments Departments and the dā‘iyahs against laziness and carelessness in performing their tasks.
