Article full text:
Al-Ashrāf reports on Pope Shenouda’s sermon in Alexandria in which the latter advised a 20-year old young man who wanted to join monastic life to finish his studies. Shenouda stated that monasticism is not a shelter for failure and that someone who wants to join the monastery should succeed in life and that choosing monastic life should be a form of asceticism.
In his weekly sermon Pope Shenouda prayed for the marriage of women, for students and for women who cannot have children.
