Article full text:
The leaders of the Hanging Church in Old Cairo ignored the visit to the church on May 30 by Muhammad Al-Barād‘ī, former head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Al-Barād‘ī visited the church, the Coptic Museum, and the local synagogue, but the leaders of the Church refused to meet him without providing a reason.

Father Ya‘qūb Kamāl, Pastor of the Hanging Church, announced that Al-Barād‘ī's visit to the church was an ordinary one, the same as a visit by any citizen at any time.

He said that it is not necessary that the pastor meet visitors to the church, on the grounds that it is a historic site visited by many people.

Kamāl pointed out that the pastor meets someone only upon instructions from a Church official.
