Article full text:
The religious sector at the Ministry of Endowments has begun to send the second group of preachers tasked with combating foreign missionary activity in remote and border areas.

Sources say the Ministry has selected a number of capable preachers for this task, so as to end these attempts at destabilizing the country, and to reject divisions between Muslims and Copts.

A Ministry source said a number of areas were targeted, these being Dahab, Aleya, Halāyib and Shalātīn, and Abū-Ramāda, in addition to some other limited areas in Sinai.

Intensive contact with the residents was made with the aim of clarifying the image of Islam and its greatness. Financial and material assistance has also been provided by the Ministry.

Rose al-Yūsuf published a report on missionary activities, which prompted the Ministry to set up a committee, as ordered by the Minister of Endowments, Dr. Mahmūd Hamdī Zaqzūq, led by the Head of the Religious Sector, Shaykh Shawqī ‘Abd al-Latīf.

A year-long plan was devised to send preachers with doctorates and masters degrees as well as some Azhar University professors, particularly during the summer months.
