Dr. Muhammad Al-Barād‘ī, former head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, made a tour May 30 of the district of Old Cairo.
 
He visited the Hanging Church, the Coptic Museum, the Church of Mar Girgis, the Jewish synagogue, and the ‘Amr ibn al-‘Āss Mosque. Al-Barād‘ī issued a statement calling on the regime to "respect people's rights and freedoms" and to "immediately release all political detainees."
