Priest Rif‘at Fikrī of the Evangelical Church- Shubra – underlined that Max Michel, known as St. Maximus is currently visiting the U.S. and will be coming back to Egypt, dispelling rumors that he had emigrated as some newspapers reported.

 

Regarding the "suspension" of the " Good Shepherd," the private channel of Muqattam Church, Fikrī said that they would halt broadcasting for only three months , then it would return bearing the name of "al-Masryoun" or the Egyptians Channel. Moreover, it would turn from a religious channel into a cultural one enlightening the public, addressing all Egyptians, not only members of the Max Church.
