The Administrative Judiciary Court issued a verdict preventing any veiled student (wearing niqāb) from taking exams, as well as the need to force any student to uncover her face during exams.
The court said in its final ruling that the examinations mobilize the universities' administrative potentials, as well as offer places needed for accommodating hundreds of thousands of students to sit for examinations in a confined certain period of time. Accordingly, it would be difficult to work out special procedures for verifying the identities of the veiled students scattered throughout the various exam locations.

Moreover, wearing the veil (niqāb) would help the hiding of small-sized mobile phones that could be possibly used for cheating in exams, a matter which adds burden on observers who monitor examination committees.

The court said there is no harm in making veiled girls reveal their faces during the performance of examinations as long as it is for a temporary period of time.
