A new ideology, led by Sheikh Mohamed ‘Alā’ al-Dīn Mādīand Abū al-‘Azāem, is overwhelming the Sufi orders, and working to confront the Wahhābī influence, and attempting to bring the Sunnis and Shiites closer.
They try to transfer their ideology to the rest of the Sufi orders in public events as they gather the orders' sheikhs and try to explain to them how to confront Wahhābism which it deems the most dangerous to Sufism and Islam.
In celebration of the ‘Azmia order of the birth of Fātimah al-Zahrā’, the preacher requested the Azhar to confront the Wahhābīthought which breached the institution itself, calling the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmad Muhammd al-Tayyib, to collaborate with ‘Azmia order to confront what he called such thought. It was explained to him that the Wahhābīs want to eliminate the Azhar, and what remained of the Islamic nation, stressing their extremist ideology which is hostile to God and His Prophet.
