The second circle of the Qena Criminal Court starts the first session of trying Girgis Bārūmī Girgis, 22, the Christian man accused of raping the girl of Farshūt, today. The Qena Criminal Court declared it has acquitted the trial on the 15th of May, and asked the Court of Appeals to refer the case to another circle.
 
The incident goes back to last November when Girgis allegedly raped an 11 year old girl, resulting in sectarian fitnah.
