This article refers to three Coptic candidates’ election to the Shūrá Council after a long absence of Coptic parliamentarians throughout elections. The three parliamentarians, ‘Īd Labīb, Mālik Ya‘qūb and Karam Anwar, expressed their delight in the results and confirmed that they never felt discrimination while running for office.  They promised that they would exert all efforts to meet the demands of the Egyptian people, paying particular attention to the youth and their problems.
