The International Council for Human Rights has finally acknowledged Egypt’s report after Mufīd Shihāb, state minister for parliamentary affairs, declared the Egyptian government’s approval of 21 out of 25 recommendations for a study in the previous report.
 
The Egyptian Government has agreed to issue a unified law for houses of worship and has prepared a law criminalizing sexual harassment, as well as a law for the rights of the disabled to be proposed to parliament in its next session. This is in addition to abolishing imprisonment for publication crimes and restricting emergency law to fight terrorism and drug dealing.
