Anīs Mansūr says that he told Pope Shenouda, Patriarch of Alexandria and the See of St. Mark, about a channel broadcasted from Paris called "al-Hayyāh" [life], which does not only launch severe attacks against Islam, but also abuses the Prophet Muhammad with insults. For example, they claimed that the Holy Qur'ān says that Jesus Christ was the result of a relationship between
Allāh and Virgin Mary, in spite of the fact that the all the verses in the Holy Qur'ān honor the Virgin Mary and place her above all women.
Afterwards, Mansūr added that he also heard that this channel is owned by an Egyptian renegade priest from the Church. Pope Shenouda emphasized that the Church is not related to any of these insults and claims. He also stressed his role of spreading peace and love between people, since these two principles are the true core of Christianity.
