During his meeting with Egyptian university students in Alexandria, Endowments Minister Hamdī Zaqzūq stressed that no political sect is allowed to use mosques for political promotion and that any person who does use mosques for demonstrations will be punished.

Zaqzūq declared that 3,000 mosques are prepared fpr I'tkāf in Ramadān, in addition to about 3,000 mosques for reading the whole Qur’ān in tarawīh prayer.

A number of muqri’s and dā'yah's will be sent to Islamic centers around the world, ZaqZūq added.
