The author states that the Copts are both absent and present in the elections at the same time. He continuous to say that the causes are: the Copts' belongingness is to the church not to the government, the culture of our society nowadays urges Muslims to choose Muslim candidates only, the Coptic candidate nominates himself to get the votes of Copts only, and finally these reasons cause a state of isolation not between one candidate and another, but between Copts and Muslims.
