In an interview with Al-Ahram, the Pope called the mass burning of the Koran, scheduled on September 11th, an "unchristian act." He also said that the large numbers of demonstrations taking place in Egypt lately are due to the fact that people are taking advantage of their right to freedom of expression and think demonstrations are the solution to every problem. He also claims that Kamilia never converted to Islam and that she hasn't spoken to the media because she doesn't wish to.
