One of the 42 released detainees in a press conference in Alexandria's Law Institute following their release said, that previous State Security are putting pressure on Said Bilāl's (a Salafi young man) family, to convince them not to sue the police men responsible for his death.
Mamdūh 'Alī Hindāwi, one of the released detainees who was detained for 84 days said that he witnessed the harsh torture that Bilāl was subjected to. He said that State Security dealt with him harshly with systematic torture which eventually lead to his death.
