The police and army surrounded the Church of Saint Mina, one of the largest churches in the region and other churches in anticipation of any confrontations.

The region of Ibrāhīm Bak in Shubrā al-Khaymah has witnessed much fitnah tā'ifīyah as a result of this one incident. There has been a lot of brawling and fighting between the youth.
