In a military funeral, thousands of local residents, security officials and executive leaders in Luxor bade last farewell 'Imād 'Abd al-Malāk Shihātah, the sixth martyr in the recent incidents on the borders in Sinai as a result of Israeli aggression on Egyptian policemen.
'Abd al-Malāk, who had received three bullets in his abdomen a couple of weeks ago, drew his last breath at Kobrī al-Kobbah Hospital on September 11.
A street in Armant in the Upper Egyptian archeological city will be named after him.
