During the conference of the Public Coptic Association, Ibrāhīm called on Copts to stage a sit-in until they get their rights, "I will take part in this sit-in for your rights,” Ibrāhīm commented.

Dr. Sa‘d al-Dīn Ibrāhīm also called for the dismissal of Aswan governor on account of al-Marinab incidents.

Sharīf Dūs, president of the Public Coptic Association, described Marinab incidents as "An attack on the peaceful Christian people" Dūs emphasized that al-Marinab Church received a renovation permit from the Local Council of Edfu, Christian rituals have been performed at al-Marinab church since 1940."

Sharīf added that incidents of sectarian strife are attributed to ideologies of Takfīr, “Egyptians, both Christians and Muslims, have to fight against such ideologies that jeopardize the homeland.”

 

“The prestige of the state has crumbled after the attack on Sūl church, the perpetrators of this attack must have been brought to justice,” activist Fātimah Nā'ūt explained.

Nā'ūt suggested that the attacked church be left unrepaired as an evidence of the attack by the outlaws on the church.
