Najīb Jabrā'īl, head of the Egyptian Union of Human Rights Organizations, said that the NCHR report's description of the bullets fired by the armed forces as "dummy" lacks technical validation by the criminal labs and forensics.
Kamāl Zākhir Mūsá, the coordinator of the Coptic laymen front, said that the current scene requires a transparent investigation in order to upset the schemes by some persons calling for an international investigation.
The NCHR, in a report on the incidents, had said that the army has not used live ammunition and added that some of the demonstrators have pelted stones at the army soldiers while others carried swords, switchblades and knives.
