Archpriest Bīshūy of the Coptic Orthodox Church in the United States, who flew all the way to attend the mass praying, said all Egyptians must pray to God in the same spirits.

Egyptian churches called on Copts to start prayers and fasting for three days as of November 28 coinciding with the commencement of the country's first parliamentary elections after the January 25 revolution.
