I have recently noticed newspapers belonging to religious parties appear on the stands, which is fine as long they observe national principles, but I am afraid there might appear Christian newspapers to confront the Islamist ones, writes Usāmah Salāmah, Editor-in-Chief of Rose al-Yūsuf magazine.
The religious duel between these newspapers could set the whole nation on fire and open Pandora's box for both Muslims and Christians.
There also has to be some rules to bring to accountability the newspapers that infringe upon professional and national commitment as well as controls on the Syndicate of Journalists membership.
