General Sharīf al-Bīkbashī received a notification from Lieutenant Tārek al-Badawy that an unemployed person with a past criminal record called Ashraf Badawī Muhammad al-Shemī, attempted to set fire to the church of Mār Girgis Church and Minūf District Court with the help of four other persons. Police chased them and arrested al- Shemī, but the other four run away.
