In a heated session, the Giza Emergency Supreme State Security Court resumed the Imbābah fitnah case in which 48 people are facing charges of assembling, premeditated murder, attempted murder, jeopardizing public peace and order, sparking a sectarian strife and setting the Virgin Mary Church ablaze.
Squabbles took place between security forces and the defendants' families that wanted to attend the session.
During the previous session, the relatives of the defendants attempted to assault the Imbābah investigations chief after he gave his testimony.
