Pope Shenouda called on Copts to register their names in the election's tables before April 20.
He assigned Bishop Bula, bishop of Tantā and head of the Clerical Council for Personal Status issues, to prepare and supervise a structured organized program in order to accomplish this task in all governorates' dioceses.
The pope said to the Copts, during his sermon on February 16, the importance of going to be registered in the elections' tables because Egypt will witness referendums and elections and the need to be ready and prepared for it (Rose al-Yūsuf, February 18, 2011, and Al-Wafd, February 18, 2011.)
