The Islamophobia Monitoring Observatory at Egypt's Dār al-Iftāʾ praised the British government's rejection of all anti-Islam manifestations, after dismissing the Advisor of the Ministry of Housing when he made statements expressing hostility and hatred towards Islam.
The Observatory of Takfiri Fatwas and Extremist Views affiliated to the Dār al-Iftāʾ of Egypt said that no movement or organization can succeed in undermining the foundations of the state and society by promoting violence through religious or sectarian claims.

A recent fatwá of Dr. Yūsuf al-Qaradāwī, stated that calling for participation in the coming presidential elections is harām (religiously prohibited).
