Romani
Shafiek Agieb is a student who was persecuted by the University
of Asiut, Faculty of Education, after being
refused the right to nominate himself as a lecturer and then a
university professor. As a result, many
Egyptian Copts offered to help the student finish his higher education
abroad, bearing all his expenses, but
Watani told them to wait while they try to find a solution to this
problem from inside Egypt. Dr.
Refa’at Al-Sai’d argued the same thing, saying that the battle of Romani
was in Egypt, and it would not be
right to escape the real battle which had to be won at home, not for Romani’s
sake, but for the sake of
Egypt.
